Can I Dispose of My Old Appliances in a Dumpster Rental?

That depends on where you live!

In Missouri: Major appliances banned from landfills include refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, trash compactors, water heaters, and other white goods. Note: Microwaves can be disposed of in landfills. Usually, the retailer you purchased your new appliance from will dispose of the old one for a fee. We are unable to accept most appliances in our rentals.

In Kansas: White goods are large items such as refrigerators, freezers, clothes washers and dryers, ranges, water heaters, microwave ovens, dehumidifiers, trash compactors, and air conditioners.  Kansas allows white goods to be disposed of in landfills but encourages alternatives to disposal, such as repair, resale, or recycling. We can accept most appliances in our rentals.
